Quality control

Quality is a constant commitment, confirmed by the choices that characterize the entire production process from the initial phases.

The quality control laboratory conducts analysis throughout the entire production process: from raw materials to semi-finished products, all the way to the finished product. The purpose is to guarantee a high product quality level through attentive monitoring of the chemical-physical and microbiological parameters.

This goal is achieved both through monitoring of the process documentation (analysis certificates, technical safety data sheets for the raw materials, processing sheets, etc.) and through instrumental analysis.

The instruments we have allow us to carry out the following controls:

  • Density
  • PH
  • Viscosity
  • Refraction index
  • Color detection with colorimeter
  • Stability of an emulsion through the centrifuge
  • Accelerated stability of semi-finished products through refrigeration incubators and heaters
  • Thermostat fridge for heat shock
  • Dry residue
  • Electrical conductivity
  • Packaging seal check through vacuum bell
  • Oxidation study of semi-finished products through Oxy testing
  • Titration of free water to study optimization of cosmetic conservation
  • Dosage of active ingredients, stability study of UV filters, preservatives through HPLC-DAD
  • Recognition of raw materials and warehouse receiving with NIR.

Through consolidated collaboration and partnerships, we are also able to provide a wider and more complete range of services including Patch Tests, Nickel Tests, Challenge Tests, Insulting, Tests, In Use Tests, Het-cam tests, skin and eye irritation tests, cytotoxicity tests and various functional tests such as the in-vitro and in-vivo SPF value, long term acute moisturizing, anti-dandruff activity, etc.

The Quality control laboratory conducts microbiological analysis on the raw materials, semi-finished products and finished product, as well as during all the crucial production phases: work equipment, air, water and packaging to monitor any possible source of contamination.

Last, but not least, to check and validate the method, we regularly submit to audits by external certified bodies which conduct cross checks on the results obtained in terms of microbiological controls, environmental monitoring and the internal hygiene level.
